OSHA and leading steel errection companies throughout the US met for several years to rewrite safety standards for the steel errection industry. The new safety standards, known as Subpart R, required companies to train their employees in the areas of Multiple Lift Rigging, Connecting, CDZ, and Fall Hazard.
Steel Errectors Association of America quickly realized the many benefits for members and partnered with Pelican Productions to create the Subpart R Training Series.
In order to increase the effectiveness of the training, multiple educational methods were utilized. A key factor was to use an on camera person to guide the audience throughout the learning process. Both English and Spanish speaking hosts demonstrate the principles and techniques of safety in the errection process. Extensive graphics and 3-D animation serve to illustrate and clarify the topics. The DVD format allows for modular learning and efficient use to time.
